What Does It Do?
This handheld 3D scanning tool is a fantastic alternative for patients who have issues with traditional methods of creating dental impressions (e.g. the mould which can cause gagging in some patients). Using the scanning tool, we can make a digital impression in just seconds.
On every patient, we scan data as a baseline, and compare and measure differences between scans. We can compare and measure differences between scans, evaluate how something is progressing or regressing in granular detail (down to .001mm).
The technology allows our dentists to identify issues that are hard to spot and accurately measure changes. We can also show patients diagrams of what we’re diagnosing.
